Case AFIS
Case AFIS, can efficiently compare latent finger and palm prints with a set of known prints from first responders, victims or suspects without limits on the print orientation, all on a world-class laptop computer. There is no need to re-enroll individuals, such as law enforcement officers and first responders, for each separate case. This powerful application can also enroll and search non-standard formats including prints from the field, morgue prints, and even sole or toe prints. Case AFIS complements existing investigation procedures by providing superior quality control, minimizing erroneous exclusions and missed opportunities in the identification process. The power and flexibility of Case AFIS enables examiners to efficiently reduce their backlogs and solve crimes faster.
- Proven algorithms – Case AFIS offers superior algorithms for latent finger and palm prints examination. IDEMIA’s matching algorithms are consistently top-ranked in NIST evaluation and testing.
- Time saving – The powerful tools included in Case AFIS application have proven effective in reducing and mostly eliminating backlog.
- Increased accuracy – Case AFIS enables examiners to reduce erroneous exclusion and missed identification opportunities.
STORM

SCANNERS
TP 5300
IDEMIA’s TP 5300 is used to capture high-quality fingerprints for law enforcement.TP 5300 provides exceptional image quality for the live scan capture of tenprints, palms, rolls and writers’ edges. Scanning can be carried out at 500 ppi, or 1,000 ppi, exceeding the FBI’s standard requirements. Thanks to IDEMIA’s patented optical technology, the high performance of TP 5300 innovative platen is completely unaffected by dry or sweaty fingers, latent prints left behind, a dirty surface or adverse conditions such as heat, humidity, wetness or dust. The result is a set of images that allow the minutiae and pore detail of fingers and hands to be seen clearly, with virtually no distortion.
- Fast and accurate capture – With TP 5300, palm print capture takes less than 1.5 seconds, with a scan resolution of 500 to 1,000 ppi – giving key friction ridge detail. Live scans of tenprints, rolls and writers’ edges can also be taken.
- Enhanced processing – The anti-smearing and anti-smudging technologies used in TP 5300 ensure that image processing is unaffected by dry or sweaty fingers, or the presence of dirt, moisture or latent prints on the platen’s surface.
- Consistent performance – Sealed in a rugged housing, the scanner is designed to deliver consistently high performance, even in challenging environments created by heat, dust, humidity or wet conditions.
